Help Cook and Serve: Winter Shelter Volunteers Needed for 2026–2027

Six opportunities to put faith into action for our San Francisco neighbors
Parish volunteers portion meals in the kitchen during a past Winter Shelter service.

A warm meal can be a powerful act of Christian love. This winter, St. John Armenian Church invites you to help prepare and serve dinner for our unhoused neighbors through the SF Interfaith Winter Shelter program.

Since 2016, our parish has gathered small groups to support this ministry. Whether you can help in the kitchen, serve dinner at the shelter, or do both, your time and care can make a difference. Please sign up for the dates and volunteer roles that work for you.

Two ways to help

  • Help cook, 10:00 AM–noon: Prepare meals at St. John Armenian Church, 275 Olympia Way, San Francisco. Cooking times are subject to change; check with the church office before coming.
  • Help serve, 5:00–7:00 PM: Join the dinner-service team at the shelter location listed for your chosen date below.

All times are America/Los_Angeles (Pacific Time). These are six individually selected dates, not a weekly schedule.
